Heartland CARES Hosts Sixth Annual SpringTINI Event
This year marked the sixth year Heartland CARES, Inc. hosted the SpringTINI fundraiser and the first year that the 1857 Hotel on Kentucky Avenue provided the location due to the inclement weather.
SpringTINI is an annual fundraising event to promote community awareness of the services provided by Heartland CARES. This year’s event took place on Thursday, May 4 with an attendance of about 150 people.
As the rain poured from the sky, guests sampled signature martinis and specialty hors d’oeuvres created by the eight participating restaurants. Guests were treated to entertainment by local artists, Donovan Woods and Daniel Neihoff and were able to bid on items donated by local businesses during the silent auction. This year’s premier auction item was a University of Kentucky basketball signed by head coach, John Calipari, donated by Ronnie Faith of Paducah.
SpringTINI 2017 generated approximately $12,000 in funds for Heartland CARES, Inc.
Thank you to everyone who participated, donated, sponsored, attended or supported our event.
